NEC and 3P Technologies are supporting as technical partners "UP! Marghera on stage", a multimedia installation at the Venice Pavilion in the Giardini della Biennale, the central point of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale (28 May - 27 November 2016).
The project stems from the elaboration of the exhibition's general theme, 'Reporting from the Front', which suggested to the organisers to bring their gaze to Marghera, proposing a journey through this ever-changing industrial and urban area.
Thanks to great teamwork, the curators and architects have imagined a linear route running along the perimeter of the building, with the idea of accompanying the visitor and involving him through the vision of a video running along the left wall. The video leads the visitor inside the reality of the places, disused but still existing, in a journey that becomes visionary with some design proposals of the young architects selected. An installation of pier-banches supports the concepts elaborated and displayed in the manner chosen by the studios themselves with drawings, videos, etc.
NEC with 3P Technologies installed two multi-projection systems consisting of four projectors each. These are the latest generation of NEC projectors, which use the laser-phosphor technology. The multi-projection system produces a single image on the curved wall of the Venice Pavilion, while three other projectors project perpendicularly onto tables below.
"This technology, applied to the museum environment, represents an extraordinary opportunity to engage visitors along the exhibition routes. Their satisfaction is a great result for the exhibition organisers, the curators of the displays and us, the manufacturers, who see our products materialise into successful applied solutions."explains Enrico Sgarabottolo, Sales Director TIGI at NEC Display Solutions Division.
