The future is in Ligra DS's DNA and, for this reason, we have made a pact with the younger generation to contribute to a greener, more sustainable world. From the conscious use of resources to the recycling of packaging and the use of renewable energy, our thoughts turn to a tomorrow where ecology and business can go harmoniously hand in hand.

Remanufactured Packaging

The logistics department has been committed to re-packaging our products for years to ensure that the consignee receives clean, undamaged and protected goods during transport and distribution. We also pay attention to the ecological aspect: more than 90% of the packaging used comes from recycled material, adapted to the shape of the product to be shipped, so as to reduce the volume and cost of transport. But we want to further improve on the green aspect, with the introduction from this year of burglar-resistant paper tapes that replace PPL, for 100% recyclable packaging. 

120,000 kWh

Renewable energies

The warehouse can also be the site of a company's energy production using renewable energy. Above our heads there is a major photovoltaic system, which produces 120,000 kWh per year and allows us both to be totally autonomous from an energy point of view, and to release more than 60% of the energy produced to the community. For better energy efficiency, we annually check, wash and clean the more than 100 panels installed, to ensure that they are operating at maximum capacity.
