Harmonic Design's mobile active PA systems combine extremely high sound quality with elegant design and reduced size and weight. The two hd 181 loudspeakers are painted with a scratch-resistant polyurethane coating. In addition, they have a front grille and acoustic foam glued on the inside to protect the loudspeaker from water splashes. Weighing only 15 kg, the loudspeaker can be easily transported thanks to the ergonomic handle on the back. There are multiple M8 threaded holes that allow mounting with a bracket on a beam, or allow tilting and rotation on the loudspeaker stand. All loudspeaker components are carefully developed and tuned, which leads to a high load capacity and longevity of the system. The natural, genuine sound is particularly evident in natural instruments and vocals, making it ideal for broadcasting vocals and music in halls and clubs. Two hd 181s can deliver enough pressure to soundtrack a small hall.
The system includes the hd P15 active subwoofer controlled by a DSP unit, which drives both the hd 181 mid-range loudspeakers and a hd Sub15 passive subwoofer, and thus acts as the central element of the system. The powerful, long-excursion 15″ loudspeaker is positioned in an acoustic cavity that utilises the bass reflex and ensures controlled, punchy bass. The system can be expanded at any time thanks to the power of the present amplifier, with two additional hd 181 loudspeakers in parallel in case a larger audience needs to be handled. The DSP unit provides factory-programmed audio presets that simplify working in a wide variety of environments and applications. Handiness and compact dimensions save installation time, weight and loading space. In addition, the Plug & Play system minimises wiring and thus potential sources of error.
