The course on the inclusion of Special Educational Needs (BES) and Specific Learning Disorders (SAD) at school, with a focus on assistive technology, covers a wide range of topics: initially a general overview of BES and SAD will be presented, exploring regulations and related laws. It then delves into the assessment, identification and diagnosis of students with these needs, analysing the role of teachers and specialists. The course covers inclusive pedagogical approaches, curricular adaptations, and emphasises the importance of collaboration between teachers, parents and health professionals. A significant part of the course is devoted to assistive and assistive technologies, with an exploration of specific tools such as communicators and speech synthesis software. The course aims to prepare teachers to successfully address the inclusion of students with BES and DSA by effectively incorporating assistive technologies into the educational environment.
