Balloon English is software for the study of English. The software uses the Presentation, Practice and Production method in which the language is presented in the form of videos, presentations, meaningful illustrations with texts, and is followed by controlled practice activities and finally used more freely in pairs or groups. Each Talk and Play activity is accompanied by a game that on the one hand captures the students' attention, on the other hand encourages pair or group work and leads to spontaneous use of the language learned. Balloon English provides a rich source of materials that can be customised by students, where they are encouraged to practise what they have learnt in pairs or small groups, and in a unique and personal way. Customisation is strongly supported by built-in artificial intelligence (AI). The Grammar tool provides suggestions for individual learning paths based on student achievement. The Vocabulary tool is a perfect exercise for playing with new words. The results of each screen determine whether students will receive an easier or more difficult set of activities within a given topic. Data on student performance can be easily monitored and evaluated. This data provides the teacher with a range of flexible course options best suited to the needs of students, whether for remedial teaching or for a particular focus on areas relevant to the reinforcement of language knowledge and skills.
