The high-frequency LineSource section consists of three 1.4-inch neodymium drivers with a special polymer diaphragm that, when coupled to a waveguide, produces a cylindrical wavefront with a vertical coverage angle of 40°. Thus, the coverage distance of a HybridLineSource-System is comparable to that of a LineArray. Due to the coaxial configuration, the horizontal coverage pattern is interference-free in the crossover area and perfectly coherent over an angular range of 100°. Double-Hangs become redundant.

The innovative case design guarantees extraordinary efficiency, compact dimensions and a maximum distortion-free sound pressure of over 143 dB. The hd HLS20 HybridLineSource sets new standards in all disciplines in the double 10″ class. With the use of multiple 1.4″ drivers, the distortion typical of a single driver at higher levels is drastically reduced. Another benefit is improved headroom to cover greater distances. The special SuperVentedDesign enables standalone applications without additional subwoofers, reaching up to 70 Hz in full-range mode.

Easily combinable.

The external design allows tripod applications or vertical hanging arrays of up to five elements. The angle between the individual loudspeakers can be precisely adjusted from 0° to 18° in 6° increments via the integrated FastRig system.

Operation is exclusively via Harmonic Design amplifiers and guarantees high performance and exceptional compatibility even in adverse conditions, as well as maximum efficiency in terms of power consumption, speaker size and power. Up to two speakers per channel can be used via the amplifiers in the Harmonic Design system. The 2-way BI-AMP mode offers uncompromising high-end sound and is recommended for all applications where high quality is required.

Sophisticated accessories save time and money

The hd HLS20-RF3 is a flying frame and tripod adapter that can be used to transport a loudspeaker on a stand with precisely adjustable tilt, in 1° increments from 0° to 15°, as well as to drive a vertical array of up to five loudspeakers.

The MP15N/P18-PA1 is ideal for music and vocal reproduction in halls and clubs. The system includes the DSP-controlled active hd P18 subwoofer, which drives the MP15N MP15N mid-high boxes and the passive hd Sub18 subwoofer, and thus serves as the central element of the system. The powerful 18″ long excursion loudspeaker is positioned in an acoustic cavity that utilises the bass reflex and ensures controlled and punchy bass. An additional DSP AUX output channel can be used for active monitors or delay lines. The DSP unit provides factory-programmed audio presets that simplify working in a wide variety of environments and applications. Easy handling and compact dimensions save installation time, weight and loading space. In addition, the Plug & Play system minimises wiring and thus potential sources of error.
