LanSchool is the software that allows the school to manage classroom devices (Mac, Windows, Chromebook) in a mixed environment. The licence gives access to both versions of LanSchool: Classic (hosted on a server) and Air (in the cloud). It is up to the school to decide which version to use according to its needs.
With LanSchool, you can: monitor and protect both students and devices; restrict access to websites (by means of blacklists and whitelists, but also by blocking Internet access completely); black out screens; monitor students' screen previews; remotely control devices; view students' web and app histories; restrict app usage; receive notifications based on students' search terms; take screenshots of students' screens; and restrict the ability to print.
LanSchool also features a screen communication and sharing system that allows: messaging; group chat; mute audio; launch the same application on all devices; display a website on all devices; broadcast the teacher's screen to all screens; broadcast the student's screen to all screens; send and receive files. The teacher can subject students to real-time verifications and tests with up to 100 multiple-choice, true/false, and essay questions; test results are searchable and exportable in CSV.
LanSchool also allows you to monitor battery status; remotely switch on and off; generate reports from the server.
